2024 Season

This section gives an overview of what we 'got up to' last season, and what potential new members may like to get involved in next season.
During the 2024 summer season we enjoyed our usual range of in-house competitions,
friendly matches against local clubs, competing as Guilsfield in the Mixed League and in competitions organised by the Montgomeryshire Bowling Association.

In 2024 we celebrated our 30th Anniversary of the opening of our green at the Guilsfield Community Bowling Club.
Pictures from our 2024 summer season are available in the Gallery.

In-House Competitions

Our in-house competitions for 2024 included:
-
Our In-House cup matches comprising Ladies, Men's and Mixed Singles; 2 and 4 Wood Pairs; and a Triples competition.
-
An Interchangeable Pairs competition - where we play a series of Pairs matches playing with a different partner in each match.
-
Our traditional Friday Evening Summer League.

Friendlies

We enjoyed Friendly matches with Lilleshall, Llansantffraid, Meifod, Neuadd Bridge and St Michael's.

The Mixed League
The Mixed League has been at the heart of our club since its inception. Finishing the league mid table was a great achievement for us.

MBA Competitions

We enjoyed participation in Montgomeryshire Bowling Association competitions in 2024:
-
Our Ladies once again took part in the Ladies Afternoon League
-
The Men made a foray into the Men's League followed by the Super 14
-
We entered two teams into the Veterans League

County Competitions

Guilsfield are affiliated to the Montgomeryshire Bowling Association and Mid Wales Women's Bowling Association enabling club members to participate as individuals in county level competitions.
